Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

My name is Elizabeth DeRaad and I have been teaching yoga for 15 years. Yoga is a passion as well as a personal obsession for me.


I received most of my yoga training at YogaWorks in Southern California in 2008. Over the years, I have specialized in Iyengar Yoga, Vinysasa Flow Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Kundilini Yoga, Restorative Yoga, as well as Yoga for injury management and Meditation.

The Yoga that I present in my online classes is considered "Gentle Yoga" and it is appropriate for anyone. I will teach you to connect with your breath, mind and body. We will move slowly and do a lot of deep stretching during practice. I have core movements that I use frequently in my classes, though I also vary practice quite a bit to keep my students on their toes and help them develop a more comprehensive Yoga practice. 

Ultimately, I like to say that the classes I teach are "Gentle" but not easy.  I look forward to having you join me in class.

Howell Haus Yoga is all about using the tools of yoga to keep our bodies & minds, strong and flexible.  We are confident that learning to breathe will help you stay in touch with what the body needs to age with gracefully.  Howell Haus Yoga is a practice you can add to your life even just once a week and it will improve not only your generalized health but it will teach you how to move more securely in the body, and teach you to control your mind.
